I've recently moved into a brand new apartment block. I have already blogged about how I can use as much water as I like because I am not charged for it.
Now, a recent visitor from the UK noticed that in the toilet there are three 100 watt bulbs to light the tiny room. In the bathroom, four hundred watt bulbs plus a small downlight light up a slightly larger room.
I can only say I was disgusted. There are now just two energy-saving lightbulbs in each room. More than sufficient. Some how, non-energy saving lightbulbs disgust me these days.
Thankfully, I pay for the electricity I use, so have an incentive to save it. I wonder when that will be the case for water?
